The current facility offered by Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home was built in 1930 and served as a residence for H.K. Pirnstill and his wife Verletta for more than 50 years. The facility continues to have living quarters on the second floor which is currently occupied by partner Eric Sparks. In 1963 a major reconstruction of the original facility was undertaken with additional space added for vieiwng rooms, offices, restrooms, lounge area, and a casket and vault selection room. In 1984 the funeral home was redecorated and updated with the finest in floor covering, furniture, draperies, and wallpaper. Munz-Pirnstill continues to regularly upgrade the facility and provide a clean environment in which Bucyrus area families feel comfortable.

Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home owns a fleet of vehicles necessary to provide complete funeral services. In serving more families than any other funeral home in Crawford County, Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is the only funeral home in the county that owns a hearse. To provide the highest degree of dignity for the deceased, in addition to the hearse being used in the funeral procession, it serves to transport the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home. In additon, Munz-Pirnstill was the first funeral home in Bucyrus to own and offer a limousine for transportation of family members to the cemetery, this service continues. Along with the Hearse and Limousine, the funeral home owns vehicles to lead the funeral procession as well as a number of utility vehicles.
