Edward R. Stevens Sr., 76 yrs. of age, of 3922 St Rt 103, Bloomville, died on Wednesday Sept. 30, 2009. Mr. Stevens was born May 27, 1933 in Byesville, OH to the late Dennis and Eunice (Oliver) Stevens. He was married Oct. 4, 1953 to Rosemary (Robin) Stevens, who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Paul Stevens.

Mr. Stevens is also survived by children; Edward R. Stevens Jr. and wife Marianne (Dille), Bucyrus; Suzanne Nickler, Tiro; Timothy W. Stevens and wife Sherry (Watkins), Yantis, TX; Teresa L. Cooney and Husband Michael, Bucyrus; Jane Swisher, Bucyrus; Sally A. Schifer, Shelby; 16 grandchildren; Meagan and Morgan Stevens, Chris Clady, Angie (Stevens) Rubio, Crystal Stevens, Nathan Saffell, Jessica Moyer, Kathy (Stevens) Beirnes, Brent and Ryan Matthews, Kyle and Ryan Cooney, Larry Smith, Sarah Swisher, Alicia Timmons, Ricki Schifer. 15 Great Grandchildren; and one sister Mrs. Donna Domer of Canton, OH.

Mr. Stevens retired after 30 years as a journeyman plumber. He lived most of his life in this area and graduated from Byesville High School in 1953. Edward served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after 12 years of service to his country. He was a member of Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Local #42, Norwalk Attica Masonic Lodge #367 and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at cabin in woods as well as helping his friends and family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home from 1-3 pm where services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jack Koscis officiating. Masonic Services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:45 pm . In lieu of flowers memorial cantributions can be made to the Masonic Lodge 367. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com.
